Framework Collector License

Framework artwork is created by TRAP and published by Our Hero The Villain Inc.
This Framework Collector License governs the display and use of digital artwork made available through a Framework Collector Pack.
By purchasing, activating, accessing, downloading, or displaying a Framework Collection, you agree to this Framework Collector License.
Collector License Grant
Subject to this license, your purchase grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual Collector License to display the purchased Framework Collection for authorized personal and commercial display purposes.
The Collector License gives you display rights only. It does not transfer copyright ownership or other intellectual property rights in the artwork.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
All copyright, intellectual property rights, artwork rights, metadata, artist attribution, collection branding, and associated creative rights remain the property of TRAP and/or Our Hero The Villain Inc., as applicable.
Select Framework works may also be registered or otherwise protected under applicable Canadian intellectual property law.
Authorized Personal Display
You may display your licensed Framework Collection in personal environments including:
- Your home
- Your office
- Televisions
- Digital frames
- Personal devices
- Other compatible personal displays
Authorized Commercial Display
You may display your licensed Framework Collection as visual atmosphere, decor, ambience, or environmental art within commercial or professional environments.
Examples may include:
- Restaurants and cafes
- Hotels and lounges
- Salons and studios
- Retail stores
- Galleries
- Waiting rooms
- Real estate staging environments
- Professional offices and similar commercial spaces
Commercial display rights do not include the right to use Framework artwork as advertising creative, brand identity, product packaging, merchandise, or a standalone commercial media asset.
Prohibited Uses
Unless expressly authorized in writing by Our Hero The Villain Inc. or through an applicable Framework licensing program, you may not:
- Redistribute the digital artwork files
- Share private download or access links
- Upload the artwork to stock marketplaces
- Sell prints, posters, canvases, merchandise, apparel, or physical products using the artwork
- Mint the artwork as an NFT or blockchain asset
- Use the artwork for artificial intelligence training
- Claim authorship or copyright ownership
- Remove or intentionally alter embedded attribution or rights metadata
- Use the artwork as a logo, trademark, or brand identity
- Use the artwork as an album cover or product packaging
- Use the artwork as standalone advertising or promotional creative
- Independently sublicense, rent, lease, assign, or transfer the digital artwork or Collector License
Limited Collector Editions
Unless otherwise stated for a specific release, each Framework Collection is limited to 85 Collector Packs worldwide.
Purchasing a Collector Pack provides the licensed display rights associated with that Framework Collection. It does not transfer copyright ownership or reproduction rights.
Collector Pack & Digital Access
A Framework Collector Pack may contain an NFC-enabled physical collector card used to authenticate or activate access to its corresponding digital collection.
Framework artwork is not stored on the NFC card itself. Authorized artwork is delivered digitally through the Framework system.
Possession, sale, gifting, or other transfer of the physical Collector Pack by itself does not automatically transfer the Framework Collector License or digital account access.
Framework Rental Licensing
The standard Framework Collector License does not permit independent rental, leasing, or sublicensing of the digital artwork.
Our Hero The Villain Inc. is developing an optional Framework Rental Licensing program that may allow eligible collectors to authorize temporary third-party display access through the Framework system.
When such functionality becomes available, rental access will be governed by a separate Framework Rental License and any applicable terms, fees, access limits, durations, or technical requirements in effect at that time.
An authorized Framework rental will not transfer copyright, ownership of the Collector Pack, permanent possession of digital files, or the underlying Collector License to the renter.
Until Framework Rental Licensing is formally made available, collectors may not independently rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or provide third parties with copies of the Framework artwork files.
Account & Access Rights
Framework may use account authentication, NFC verification, access credentials, entitlement records, or other technical measures to confirm authorized access to a collection.
Users may not bypass, defeat, tamper with, duplicate, or circumvent Framework authentication, access controls, or digital delivery protections.
License Violations
Unauthorized copying, distribution, reproduction, sublicensing, rental, commercial exploitation, or other use outside the permissions granted by this license may result in suspension or termination of Framework access and may constitute infringement of applicable intellectual property rights.
Nothing in this license limits rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Governing Law
This Framework Collector License is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
License Updates
Our Hero The Villain Inc. may update the terms governing future Framework purchases, services, or optional licensing programs.
Any material changes affecting an already-purchased perpetual Collector License will be subject to applicable law and the terms associated with that purchase.
